NexGen is the cloud-based software behind Lucion Group Ltd.

As a customer of Lucion Group Ltd you can use it to access your reports, search your Asbestos portfolio, see your Asbestos plotted onto an intelligent map, view financial information and much more.

How much does NexGen cost?

Access to NexGen is free for basic use, however, customers that use the system heavily will need to pay a charge. We monitor customer usage and may get in touch to discuss how we can optimise your experience.

This pricing model is based on the fact that NexGen lowers the cost of Asbestos management implementation by saving time, improving record accessibility and increased reliability. As such, we do not have any complex "per user license" schemes or opaque service charges that you may encounter with other providers.


Can I have bespoke features?

If you want to see additional features, please get in touch. Updates to NexGen generally fall into 3 categories:

  1. If the idea would benefit all customers, we will add it to our roadmap for free and develop it in due course.
  2. If the idea would benefit all customers, but you need it ASAP. We will charge for development.
  3. If the idea is truly bespoke. We will charge for development.

Development is charged on a day rate basis and we will give you a fixed cost quotation prior to undertaking any work.


How do I register?

All Lucion Group Ltd Clients are allowed free access to NexGen, however your email-address must be white-listed before you can register. The easiest way to find out if you are white-listed is to try and register here.

If you haven't been white-listed, send us an email, tell us who you work for and we will add your email address.

If you are trying to register but the link fails to open, you may be using an unsupported browser. Please try again using one of the following:

  • Google Chrome 10 + (officially supported)
  • Firefox 3 +
  • Safari 5 +
  • Internet Explorer 9 +

How do I bulk-register all my staff?

We white-list your entire email domain meaning your company can self-register as and when they need access.

If everyone in your company uses an @mycompany.com email address we associate that domain with your Account.

There are several pros of doing this:

  • It takes only a moment to add your entire company. No need to give us a list of email accounts.
  • You can see who's registered at a glance.
  • By default, all new users are only given basic privileges.
  • You can see exactly who has (or hasn't) viewed reports. Valuable for Health-and-Safety reasons.

Can I see who's registered?

If you have been granted access you will see a "Manage Staff & Offices" item under the Commercial menu.

This page gives you an overview of who's registered and can be used to set permissions for your users.

Are there limitations to the number of users?

Nope. Register away.


I've forgotten my password...

No problem, you can reset your password on the login page, the process is simple:

  1. Enter your email and new password
  2. Check your inbox for a confirmation link, click it
  3. Your password is now reset and you will be logged in

System Requirements

Any computer with a modern browser and an internet connection:

In order to effectively and quickly develop NexGen we have chosen not support legacy browsers. This gives us the freedom to leverage modern best-practices.


How do I search?

On the Client Dashboard you can search for your Sites using the Address, Partial Address or UPRN. You will be presented with matches as you type.

Once you have selected the Site, all information is shown alongside a list of Reports.

If the Sites GPS coordinates are known the Map will zoom to the location.


How do I use the map?

As you zoom and pan the map, NexGen analyses the visible area and "clusters" up Sites into groups.

Once you zoom close the Sites break apart, until eventually you see individual Sites. Click a Site to view available information in the same format as the text-search.

Why doesn't my Site appear on the map?

Sites will only appear on the Map if we have a confirmed GPS location.

Operatives can take a GPS fix when visiting the Site, however this is not always possible due to envrionmental or time constraints.

Customers wanting extensive GPS data will need to make arrangements with Lucion as this is considered an additional service. Needless to say Customers with extensive portfolios greatly benefit from this service as it's an excellent way to verify a Site and can be useful in the long-term.


How do I export my data?

If you have been granted access you will see an "Export" item under the Commercial menu.

On this page you are presented with a number of options and methods to download your data. For example you can:

  • Download a list of all your surveyed Sites with a tally of R1, R2 and R3 risk-items.
  • Download a week or month of survey data, down the individual records.

There are choices of spreadsheet structure and date-range, however it must be noted that when crosswalking from our fully relational database into a flat spreadsheet file structural data is lost. If the data is imported into another system it will need to rebuild that structre correctly.

How do I get a Progress Report?

If you have been granted access you will see an "Progress Report" item under the Commercial menu, this page will show you some high-level statistics about the number of surveys, sites and items we have collected on your behalf.

How do I see Work-In-Progress?

In order to show work-in-progress and planned-works we must expose some internal workings for Lucion Group Ltd, often this contains sensitive information and so we will only activate it in special circumstances.

Can I see Invoices etc. on NexGen?

How do I share with my contractors / partners?

The sharing system requires very little management, you can share your reports in one of 2 ways:

  • On a per-report basis - simply email the report link to your partners.
    ...or...
  • Full search - whitelist your partners and they CAN search your portfolio in the same way that you can.

If you require the latter, get in touch and we can grant you access to the full sharing system.


How does NexGen work?

NexGen is a cloud-based computer service built on top of Amazon-Web-Services for scalability and performance.

The system has been custom-built for Lucion Group Ltd and it's Customers. It deals many aspects of the running of the business: CRM, Quotes, Contracts, Invoices, Sites, Jobs, Survey Data, Lab Analysis and Reports.
